A 12 Week Sprint Triathlon Training Program Will Suffice
October 3rd, 2009 . by adminA lot of new people to the world of triathlons will ask how long they should train before the first race. I usually recommend that a person with a somewhat active lifestyle should easily be able to train in only 12 weeks. A sprint triathlon training program that doesn’t have a race within the first 12 weeks will probably leave a person burnt out on training. We all need goals to aspire to and one that is five months away is too long for most people. If you are in really good shape, 8 weeks should probably be enough to finish the race.
