Due to the geographical location that this species of bird first originated from he is not a fussy eater and will enjoy eating most foods. He is used to a wide variety of fruits, nuts and seeds. The Yellow Collared Macaw especially likes exotic varieties and will consume almost as much as you’d allow him to. But like any pet bird, he will not need to eat as much as he may think he does. You should always be sure to only feed him food that is suitable to Macaws because human food may make him very sick. Be sure always to have a fresh supply of water readily available.
