As soon as they walked into the scene they knew the guy was dead. The air stank of it. Inside the forensics team was marking out the body and taking pictures, cataloging the scene with the emotion of a rock.  I looked over and noticed that the guy had two one cup coffee machines on his counter. That seemed odd. A single one cup coffee machine, sure.  But why two?  Had there been somebody else living with him.  Were they that impatient to get their first brew of the day?  I guess I would learn the answer later on when I started asking questions.
